The Barenboim-Said Center for Music announces the first international concert tour after the pandemic with its flagship, the ensemble of Filasteen Young Musicians Orchestra. The ensemble is joining the Cyprus Young Strings Soloists and is coming to the Municipal Theater of Strovolos with a concert on the 15th of November at 20:30 under the baton of conductor Rémy Ballot Conductor.
The Cyprus Young String Soloists ensemble is an establishment of professor Matheos Kariolou. The ensemble has been widely recognised by international classical music community, bringing names such as Martha Argerich and Ivry gitlis to Cyprus.
The Filasteen Young Musicians Orchestra has performed actively in the Middle East and in Europe regardless of their young age as an ensemble. Their musical residency is yet in Palestine. The FYMO has worked with great conductors such as Maestro Daniel Barenboim, Thomas Guggeis, Remy Ballot and many others. Their recent appearance at the Musikverein Wien was received with enthusiasm. The orchestra was founded by Liina Leijala.
The joint concert on the 15th of November will be in the honour of Maestro Daniel Barenboim’s birthday.
