Free parking for hybrid and electric cars
Strovolos Municipality, according to the decision of the Municipal Council, announces that from January 1, 2022 until December 31, 2022, special licenses for free parking in the Municipal parking spaces will be granted to owners of hybrid vehicles with low emissions up to 50gCO2/Km. Additionally, the Municipality will continue to grant special free parking licenses to owners of all electric vehicles.
Anyone interested could fill the relevant application (for electric and hybrid vehicles) through the Municipality’s website or mobile app. Alternatively, applicants can obtain and submit the form by visiting the Municipality’s Citizens’ Service Office, Strovolos City Hall, 100 Strovolos Avenue (ground floor). The completed form must be submitted along with a copy of the vehicle registration certificate.
The special permit will be sent by post to the applicant, who has the obligation to display it on a visible place inside the vehicle.
It is noted that issued licenses with effect until December 31, 2021 will be valid until March 31, 2022. Anyone interested for a renewal, must submit once more the relevant documents and application for 2022.
