Pursuant to Law Ν. 96(Ι)/2013, regulating the operation of Public Markets for producers to sell their agricultural products and upon the resolution of the Municipal Council no. 224.1 of 29/10/1996, the Public Market operates every Friday from 5:30am until 7:00pm.
The new, modern Public Market was launched on 18/1/2019, operating in the parking area of the G.S.P. stadium in Strovolos. It operates within a spacious and well-organised environment, with easy access and plenty of parking. In addition, the area is covered, and offers sanitary facilities as well as all the necessary provisions for people with reduced mobility. There is also a cafeteria for visitors.
Any producer interested in obtaining a permit to use the premises of the Strovolos Public Market can submit an application to the Municipality, as provided by the relevant legislation, after obtaining certification from the Agriculture Department (Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment).
